The short answer
A UV DTF cup wrap is a design printed with UV-curable ink on film, made to go around a cup, tumbler or mug. You press it onto the cup by hand, peel off the carrier film, and the design stays on the cup. Our UV DTF decals page says the process transfers designs onto hard surfaces such as metal, glass, wood and plastics through pressure. Wraps are not for fabric. For shirts and other fabric, use a DTF gang sheet instead.
How to measure a cup for a wrap
A wrap needs two measurements: how tall it can be and how wide it must be to go around. We do not list standard cup sizes, because cups differ between makers. Measure your own.

| Taper | If the cup narrows toward the base, measure C at the top edge and at the bottom edge of the wrap area. The wrap becomes a trapezoid. |
Example with made-up numbers, not a standard size: a straight cup 3 in across with 4 in of smooth wall.
- C = 3 in x 3.1416 = 9.42 in
- Wrap size = 9.42 in wide x 4 in tall
- Area = 9.42 x 4 = 37.7 square inches
Size your artwork to the exact print dimensions. The product page asks for 300 DPI PNG files with a transparent background and says DTF-Prints.com is not liable for sizing errors, so check your measurements before you upload.
What a wrap costs
UV DTF decals start at $0.044 per square inch. For the example wrap, 37.7 square inches x $0.044 = $1.66 of print area. The DTF calculator converts width and height to square inches, but its price uses the $0.012 hot peel rate, so multiply its square inches by $0.044 for UV.
You buy a sheet, not a single wrap. The UV product page lists one size, 22 in x ~360 in, at $348.48. That is 22 x 360 = 7,920 square inches, and 7,920 x $0.044 = $348.48. Empty space on the sheet is still part of that price, so fill the sheet.
How to apply a UV DTF cup wrap
Film layers and naming differ between makers, so follow the instructions that come with your film first. These steps follow eufyMake and xTool guidance.
- Wipe the cup twice with 70 to 90 percent isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth, and let it reach room temperature.
- Test powder-coated tumblers first, because adhesion can vary by coating.
- If your designs are on one sheet, cut the wrap out. Then peel off the first film layer to expose the adhesive side.
- Line up one edge against the cup. A wrap is hard to move once it sticks.
- Roll the cup while pressing the wrap down gradually, then smooth it from the center outward with a squeegee or scraper to push out air.
- Wait about 30 to 60 seconds, then peel the remaining carrier film slowly at a low angle. If a section lifts, press it down and keep going.

eufyMake advises hand washing and avoiding long soaks, because dishwasher heat and water pressure can weaken the adhesive edges over time.

How do I size a UV DTF cup wrap?
Measure the height of the smooth wall and the circumference, using a paper strip or the diameter times 3.1416. For a cup that narrows toward the base, measure the circumference at the top and bottom edges of the wrap area. eufyMake says a miss of 2 to 3 mm can leave a gap or an overlap.
